27, 28 번째 수업이다! 우와 그래도 많이 진도를 나간것 같다.

<어휘>

ready-made

have one's fill of sth : 이 표현은 좀 낯선데.. have one's fill of sth 하면 ~을 실컷 맛보다, 경험하다 라는 뜻이다.

e.g. We can have our fill of genuine Italian food at that restaurant. 

e.g. They will be here soon enough. You will have your fill of battle.

success는 동사가 아니고 명사임, 동사는 succeed 또는 be successful 또는 achieve/get success

I'm not kowing well => I don't know well  (know는 현재진행형을 쓰지 말라는건가..?)

flavor 라는 명사에 어울리는 형용사는 bold, strong, deep 과 같은 형용사임.

highland, lowland : 고지대, 저지대 (-> 형용사도 가능)

sketchy : 영한사전에는 '대략적인' 이라고 씌여있지만, 이 단어는 미국영어에서 slang으로  '의심스러운' '수상한' '오싹한' 이런 뜻으로 쓰입니다. 

hollow out : 비워내다

오늘 새로 배운 단어들..

inundated : inundate(v.)는 타동사로 '1) 넘치게하다 2) 침수시키다.' 라는 동사이다.

Some sites are inundated with ads and promos. 광고로 넘친다 이렇게 표현..

deity : 신(god)이라는 뜻. 쉬운단 어같은데 처음 들어본다..

이것도 vocabulary 공부인가.. ㅋㅋ 한국사람은 한국만화 보고 자라고, 미국사람은 미국만화 보고 자라서, 나는 전혀 모르는데, 미국인은 다 아는 만화라고 한다. The Jetsons. 한국말로 하면 젯슨가족?
